BACKGROUND

The Air New Zealand In-flight entertainment (IFE) is a product for providing onboard entertainment to customers. A key touchpoint for the brand. This major re-design set the foundation for Image and Dark modes for the design system.

Connecting Customers to a world of entertainment through a refreshed User Interface experience (Copy)

The first job was to establish a visual strategy, providing a guiding light for the project to go forward.

Early on, the experience possibilities were explored to set a new benchmark in design.

Developed the stylistic approach and worked with a creative team to define the conceptual approach.

All the UI components from the web were then designed to work across dark and image backgrounds on the In-flight entertainment product with maximum accessibility in mind.

This project also offered the chance for me to get back into the creative detail — from creating the home screen illustrations to art directing the well-being photography — whatever was needed beyond the overall direction to ensure a world-class pro
